CAPS met and reelected Jackie Schmidt as chair.  The committee has
received a request from the University Core Committee to investigate the
effect of dropping EN 116 on the core requirements ( students have two
semesters of English).  The committee will meet with Dr. Roark, chair of
English , on October 20 for discussion.  The committee has also received
a proposal for a Masters of Integrated Science for teachers and will
meet with Drs. Beadle and Kimmel on the 20th.
