The Committee on Academic Policies will be meeting on Wednesday, September 25. Jackie Schmidt has been reelected as chair. The committee has a series of items for this year. The committee will continue to work on the policy allowing first year students to drop classes without consulting with their advisor and the larger issues of deadlines for dropping courses for all students. The committee also has received two new proposals: one from the core committee that the P/F option be removed from all core courses, and one from the departments of HS, RL, and PO requesting a new course designation for Interdisciplinary Studies ( IS).
