Subject: Proposal to amend the Forum Constitution

Problem: The Forum Secretary has much work to do and the Forum Vice Chair has very little work assigned.

Problem: In most of its history, albeit not this year, the Nominations Committee has had trouble getting itself started, due mainly to the lack of a returning chair.

Solution: Replace the Forum Secretary with the Forum Vice Chair as the ex-officio member of the Nominations Committee and make the Vice Chair of the Forum the chair of the Nominations Committee. Make appropriate changes in the Constitution of the Forum.

Alternatives: Leave the situation as it is.

Results expected: A more fair, equitable, and timely running of Forum elections
